What are you going to be when you grow up? As a child it is so easy – ‘an astronaut’, ‘a postman’, ‘a teacher’. But as you come to the end of your school career there may be a sense of uncertainty, suddenly you aren’t sure what your passion or talents are – you just don’t know where God wants you. Or, alternatively, you may sense a tugging on your heart to serve the Lord in some way. Well, RFM is a great opportunity for you to serve God, to seek His face about the future and grow immensely as a person.
RFM is a discipleship program that originated in East London, but is now run in several base churches across the country. The program provides an opportunity for volunteers to be discipled and to serve God, on a full time basis, for the duration of one year. It aims to equip the volunteers with life skills: in public speaking, leadership, study methods, conflict resolution, time management and basic first aid amongst others. There are six areas or core values of RFM, namely service; leadership; studying; local church work; discipleship and missions.
