July Joy is about touching the lives of people with the love of Christ. Every July month we set aside to bless people that need to know that they are acknowledged, loved and cared for. This may include school teachers, handicapped children and adults, orphans, Churches in poor communities, crèches, night shelters and many other worthwhile causes. Creativity is the key. Sometimes the entire Church is involved whilst other times the drive has been through cell groups. Testimony certainly is that it has been a blessing to be a blessing. To see the smile on childrens faces, to hear them laugh and to feel their embrace is overwhelming.

The Bible tells us that “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world” (James 1: 27). Pretty cool to know that when you are stepping out of your comfort zone to touch the life of some in need you are doing the will of God.
